Industrial III by CrazyHeadbanger Industrial III by CrazyHeadbanger
Another Urbex trip.. impressive location...definitely!
It's an abandoned coal mine... HUGE complex.

This stunningly taken photo really evokes a strange sense of displacement and loss from the viewer; shot as though they are peering out in awe at the mechanical scenery. This technique really emphasises the purposeful, delicate capturing of the rigid and scientific lines of the machinery, used to create form and depth in the photo. I enjoy this immensely, as this angel also reflects the discarded and eroding feel on the building.

The chosen representation through black and white is what definitely evokes this emotion most, creating a world of the past and a feel of generic exile, as though this is an inhuman place. Although the viewer may get this immediate feel, the chosen representation by the photographer does also capture the beauty and power of the industrial setting. :+fav: :)

Sadly mostly the only thing that remains are memories. Photos visualize these memories and that is one reason why I like Urbex Photography that much. You are able to preserve something. Not only how something actually looked like, but the atmosphere of a lost place.

Thank you! :)
